Rotary Barrel Tumbler Applications

Tumbling barrels work well on small parts. They are commonly used to finish screw machine parts, jewelry, and medical parts. They can also be used to mix dry or wet chemicals. The barrels and barrel plugs are impervious to most all chemicals. It is easy to retrieve the parts from the barrel by using a separation screen over a container. They also work well for burnishing brass, copper, aluminum and stainless with porcelain or steel media. Burnishing can also be done with dry media like cob or nut shell that has rouge baked on it. Steel ball burnishing can be done in a tumbling barrel at a very low cost.

TL-1 Tumbler Barrel

5" diameter X 4 1/2" in length with 3" opening

This barrel is for our THREE BAR tumbling, but is also used on other machines. As many as 8 barrels fit on our machine.

All our covers are made with a spun stainless steel plate inside and outside. The seal is made with a large rubber ring sandwiched between the two plates. There is a stainless carriage bolt that goes through the top and a wing nut on the outside that is tightened to make the seal.

Our design allows the top to be removed and replaced quickly and easily. These tops may be purchased separately for replacement in our barrels.
